Catherine Fynes
Senior Counsel

Catherine Fynes joined Benefactors Counsel as a senior counsel with nearly 25 years of experience in non-profit professional and volunteer management, marketing, media relations, and fundraising. She has developed and implemented annual giving campaigns, planned giving programs, special events, capital campaigns, direct mail solicitations and she has secured numerous grant awards from foundations and corporations.

Ms. Fynes served in executive and management roles with the Boys & Girls Clubs in Toledo and Columbus for 10 years. As a training associate on behalf of Boys & Girls Clubs of America she conducted resource development audits and provided mini-trainings in resource development to Clubs. Prior to her involvement with the Clubs, she served as director of development for the Girl Scouts of Maumee Valley Council and director of marketing of the YWCA in Toledo, Ohio.

She has received numerous citations and awards for her work on behalf of youth as well as for her development of signature special events and publications. She has served on several non-profit boards and committees both as a professional and as a community volunteer, including serving as president of the Northwest Ohio Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and Leadership Toledo. Ms. Fynes graduated from Ohio University with a degree in journalism.
